Our Tommy Boy’s Veggie Mix is a dehydrated mix of eight naturally grown vegetables• Green Beans • Carrots• Celery• Onions• Garden Peas• Green Bell Peppers• Tomatoes• Parsley. Great for soups and other food preparations by just adding boiling water. For seasoning and you may use any amount according to personal taste. After the dehydration process is complete, the best part of the food remains, and with dehydrated food in a BPA FREE food grade container you never have to concern yourself with fresh vegetables going bad in the bottom of your refrigerator. The moisture level is reduced to 2%-3% and storage life has been increased for many years and taste has not been compromised. The dehydrated vegetables in this mix are reduced 3.25 to 6 times their hydrated weight, making the mix very light. This is an advantage in shipping, storing and transporting. Dehydrated foods retain more nutrients than either frozen or canned foods.
You can add a couple tablespoons to any soup or stew for a fresh vegetable flavor. Make a great tasting veggie soup by adding a cup of boiling beef, chicken or vegetable stock to ¼ cup veggie mix. Dehydrated veggie mix also makes a great dip – Use a spice or coffee bean grinder to grind a couple tablespoons to a coarse powder and add to mayo, yogurt and/or sour cream. Let sit about an hour in the fridge. This is a great dip with veggies or chips.
